I am a licensed professional engineer with expertise in industrial refrigeration, process engineering, and system optimization. My background uniquely blends technical problem-solving with strong communication skills, allowing me to approach challenges with both precision and creativity.
My journey started in journalism, earning my first bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton, where I worked for The Oregonian, Orange County Register, Los Angeles Times Community News, and KPCC. Storytelling, synthesizing data, and asking the right questions have always been at the core of my work.
Driven by curiosity and a desire to solve complex problems, I transitioned into engineering and earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University. I’ve since worked on industrial refrigeration systems, process safety, regulatory compliance, and energy efficiency projects. My ability to analyze systems, troubleshoot technical challenges, and clearly communicate solutions has made me an asset in both engineering and client-facing roles.
That said, writing remains my first love. Whether it’s technical documentation, process optimization reports, or personal storytelling, I continue to refine my ability to break down complex ideas into something clear and impactful.
